Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans following health and safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen surfaces, sinks, dishwashing machines, and storage areas
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as organizing supplies or prepping ingredients when needed
- Support banquet and catering events by ensuring all serving ware is clean and ready for service
- Follow proper food handling procedures to uphold hygiene standards across the kitchen
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely clearing of tables and bussing duties during service periods
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a tidy workspace to prevent accidents or contamination
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service, restaurant work, or hospitality environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key!
- Knowledge of basic cleaning procedures and food handling safety regulations
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting or moving heavy items
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and organization
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or during busy event times as needed
- Previous experience with bussing, food preparation, or banquet service is a plus but not mandatory
