Responsibilities
- Operate garment care machines such as industrial washers, dryers, and dry cleaning equipment to process linens, towels, uniforms, and other textiles efficiently.
- Handle laundry materials carefully using proper manual handling techniques and push carts to transport items safely throughout the facility.
- Perform sanitation duties by cleaning work areas, laundry stations, and equipment following established safety standards in production.
- Sort laundry items based on fabric type, color, and cleaning requirements to ensure proper treatment.
- Use laundry detergents and cleaning agents correctly while adhering to safety protocols to prevent contamination or accidents.
- Assist with materials handling tasks including heavy lifting of bulky items and organizing supplies for smooth workflow.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to laundry requests and ensuring timely delivery of cleaned textiles.
- Maintain accurate records of laundry loads processed, materials used, and safety checks performed.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in cleaning or laundry services is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Ability to operate garment care machinery such as industrial washers, dryers, and dry cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
- Strong understanding of sanitation standards and safety protocols in production environments.
- Good manual dexterity with the ability to perform heavy lifting and push carts comfortably over extended periods.
- Basic math skills for measuring detergents and calculating quantities needed for various loads.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on garment care and textile cleanliness.
