American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN Case Manager specializing in Behavioral Health for a 13-week ambulatory care assignment in Juneau, AK, requiring an active Alaska RN license and case management experience within the last 2 years.

Ambulatory care/clinic setting specializing in Behavioral Health and Psychiatry
-
Provides case management services for outpatient Behavioral Health/Psychiatry patients of all ages, including those with substance use disorders (SUD)
-
Coordinates medical care and medication refills with physicians, pharmacies, and insurance providers
-
Conducts nursing evaluations, injections, and lab collection as appropriate
-
Schedule options include Mon–Fri 8am–5pm, Mon–Fri 10am–7pm, or Tues–Sat 8am–5pm
-
13-week contract with a 40-hour work week

Active, unrestricted RN license in the State of Alaska required at time of consideration

Minimum 1 year of RN experience required; case management experience must be within the last 2 years

Current BLS certification required

Associate's degree or higher in Nursing from an accredited program

Proof of flu vaccine required

Fingerprint card submission required prior to start; start date is a minimum of 6 weeks from receipt of fingerprint cards

Facilitates care coordination including referrals, follow-up care, and continuity of services for Behavioral Health patients

Makes brief patient contacts to educate and reinforce clinician directives and identifies needs for further nursing or case management support

Collaborates with medical and behavioral health clinicians as part of an interdisciplinary team

Delivers culturally sensitive, evidence-based care aligned with individualized treatment plans

Documents assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record

Floating to other departments or assignments may be required

Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; housing and travel are not provided by the facility
