What This Role Is
You’ll be building and assembling electronic systems for our NugSmasher IQ and Touch series machines. This is hands-on work focused on precision—assembling, wiring, and soldering components while ensuring every unit performs reliably before moving to final assembly.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Assemble electronic components based on schematics and build plans
- Perform high-quality soldering on PCBs and electrical components
- Wire and connect components inside electrical systems and enclosures
- Install and prep sensors, controllers, and thermocouples
- Assemble heater components and related systems
- Build and prep wire harnesses using our wire cutting machine
- Prep and install LED light drivers and related components
- Work with both AC and DC electrical systems
- QC and test assemblies before they move to final assembly
- Inspect builds for cleanliness, consistency, and reliability
- Troubleshoot electrical issues at the component and assembly level
Additional Responsibilities
- Perform functional testing of assemblies (sensors, heaters, outputs)
- Validate thermocouple readings and overall system performance
- Record test results and maintain basic build documentation
- Follow and help refine standard build procedures (SOPs)
- Identify and flag recurring issues or inconsistencies
- Operate and maintain wire processing and assembly equipment
- Maintain a clean, organized, production-ready workspace
- Work closely with final assembly to ensure smooth handoff
What Matters
- Strong soldering skills (core to this role)
- Experience working with PCBs and electronic components
- Basic understanding of electrical systems (AC and DC)
- Ability to read wiring diagrams or schematics
- High attention to detail — clean, consistent work is critical
- Reliable and consistent — shows up and executes
Nice to Have
- Experience in electronics assembly or appliance manufacturing
- Familiarity with thermocouples, heating elements, or control systems
- Previous production or manufacturing environment experience
Quality Standard
Work will be evaluated on solder quality, wiring cleanliness, consistency, and long-term reliability. Every build should be repeatable, serviceable, and ready for real-world use.
