Duties
- Build a team. Conduct comprehensive construction site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance across public infrastructure projects
- Review and interpret construction plans, specifications, schematics, and blueprints to ensure accurate implementation of design intent
- Perform quality control checks and construction quality inspections to uphold project standards and identify areas for improvement
- Analyze construction documents, building code analysis reports, and regulatory requirements to verify compliance with local regulations and safety standards
- Collect data during site visits, document findings meticulously, and prepare detailed reports for project stakeholders
- Ensure adherence to construction regulations by inspecting work practices and verifying that all activities meet legal and safety standards
- Collaborate with construction management teams to address issues related to building code compliance, safety regulations, and project specifications
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for documentation, reporting, and data analysis purposes
- Extensive experience working on construction sites within civil infrastructure or public works projects
- Strong understanding of construction regulations, building codes, safety protocols, and quality assurance procedures
- Skilled in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction plans
- Expertise in conducting construction site inspections, quality inspections, and regulatory compliance assessments
- Ability to analyze technical information critically to identify potential issues or deviations from specifications
- Familiarity with pipeline projects or other specialized civil infrastructure components is a plus
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with contractors, engineers, inspectors, and project managers
