Must be over 18 years of age with a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Responsibilities
- Supervise dogs during playtime, rest periods, and mealtimes to ensure safe interactions and prevent conflicts
- Assist with dog training exercises to promote good behavior and socialization skills
- Handle dogs confidently using proper animal restraint techniques to ensure safety for both pets and staff
- Monitor dog behavior continuously, recognizing signs of stress or discomfort and responding appropriately
- Maintain cleanliness of the daycare area, including kennels, play zones, and activity stations
- Provide basic pet grooming tasks such as brushing or bathing when needed to keep animals comfortable and healthy
- Support pet sitting services by caring for dogs during their stay, including feeding, walking, and administering medication if required
- Communicate effectively with pet owners about their dog’s behavior, health status, and special needs
- Assist with animal handling or restraint during medical procedures or examinations when necessary
- Lift heavy items such as bags of dog food or supplies safely to support daily operations
Skills
- Proven experience in dog handling, training, or pet care roles such as veterinary technician or kennel assistant is preferred
- Knowledge of animal restraint techniques and safe handling practices for various dog breeds
- Skills in pet grooming, pet sitting, or general animal care that enhance the quality of care provided
- Strong customer service abilities to communicate clearly with pet owners and team members
- Ability to perform physical tasks involving heavy lifting while maintaining safety standards
- Passion for animals combined with a lively, energetic approach to daily tasks
