About the Role:
Join Sweetwater Care as a Direct Care Worker, where you'll make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities. We are dedicated to providing compassionate and personalized care in a supportive environment, and we are looking for passionate individuals to join our team in the greater Phoenix, AZ area.
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene and meal preparation
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' quality of life
- Implement individualized care plans/goals tailored to each client's needs and preferences
- Monitor behavior and daily activities
- Light housekeeping
- Transportation to appointments and errands
- Accompany members on recreational activities
Requirements:
- Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with clients on a personal level
- Compassionate demeanor and a genuine desire to help others
- Reliable Transportation
- Valid Arizona Driver's License
- At least 1 year Caregiver experience or similar
- An Arizona Level 1 Fingerprint clearance card or the ability to obtain one*
- CPR /First Aid Certification*
- Article 9*
- If you do not already possess these trainings Sweetwater Care can assist in obtaining them
