Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Change Specialist to support business readiness, stakeholder engagement, and user adoption for Guidewire and broader insurance transformation initiatives. This role focuses on executing change impact assessments, communications, and training strategies to drive successful adoption of new systems and processes. The ideal candidate brings hands-on OCM experience within the insurance industry and a proven ability to translate complex change into practical, user-focused outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct and document change impact assessments across people, process, technology, and roles for implementations; translate findings into actionable readiness plans and support assessments (e.g., surveys, workshops, interviews) to identify adoption risks, resistance points, and readiness gaps.
- Conduct training needs analysis and support the design and delivery of role-based training, job aids, and learning materials, leveraging digital adoption tools and reinforcement strategies to improve user proficiency and sustained adoption.
- Create and execute targeted communication plans, including key messaging, stakeholder updates, and leadership materials, ensuring messages clearly articulate what is changing, why it matters, and what actions are required across all impacted audiences.
- Develop stakeholder analyses and engagement plans, partner with business leaders and change agents to drive awareness and adoption, and support managers with tools and coaching to effectively guide their teams through change.
- Define and track adoption, readiness, and engagement metrics, analyze feedback and usage data, and provide insights to support targeted interventions and align OCM activities with overall business outcomes and benefit realization.
- Collaborate with business, IT, and project teams to integrate OCM activities into delivery plans, participate in key project ceremonies and readiness checkpoints, and maintain core OCM documentation including plans, assessments, and adoption tracking artifacts.
- Create and maintain documentation related to change impacts, training plans, communications, and stakeholder engagement activities to support and strengthen internal change management capabilities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- 4–7 years of experience in Organizational Change Management, business transformation, or technology adoption within medium to large-scale initiatives.
- Insurance industry experience, with understanding of core functions such as underwriting, policy administration, billing, claims, or operational workflows.
- Hands-on experience applying structured OCM methodologies (e.g., Prosci ADKAR, Kotter, ACMP) across change impact, stakeholder engagement, communications, training, and adoption tracking.
- Proven ability to develop and execute core OCM deliverables, including impact assessments, stakeholder analyses, communication and training plans, and readiness assessments.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex changes into clear, actionable messaging.
- Experience facilitating workshops and partnering with business leaders, SMEs, and project teams to drive alignment and adoption.
- Ability to identify and mitigate adoption risks and resistance, using feedback and data to guide interventions.
- Experience tracking and interpreting adoption and readiness metrics to support business outcomes.
- Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments with cross-functional teams.
- Insurance industry and Guidewire experience preferred, along with familiarity with tools such as Microsoft Office, Jira, and Confluence.
- Bachelor’s degree required; Prosci certification strongly preferred, with CCMP or other certifications a plus.
Compensation and Benefits:
Base salary range for this position is $110,000–$120,000 plus eligibility for a performance-based annual bonus. Actual compensation will be based on experience, education, and geographic location.
