Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble a variety of pizzas according to established recipes and customer specifications, ensuring consistent quality and presentation
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, and knife tools safely and efficiently to produce high-volume orders
- Follow strict food safety sanitizing procedures to maintain a clean and hygienic work environment
- Assist with menu planning by suggesting new pizza toppings or styles based on customer preferences and current trends
- Manage food handling responsibilities including dough preparation, ingredient portioning, and topping distribution
- Support overall food production efforts by participating in meal preparation, catering events, and special menu items
- Maintain inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying management of shortages or quality concerns
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food industry roles such as dietary aide, culinary assistant, or restaurant staff is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures in a commercial kitchen setting
- Skilled in food preparation techniques including grilling, braising, poaching, and food handling standards
- Excellent knife skills with the ability to prepare ingredients efficiently for high-volume production
- Experience with menu planning, food service operations, and catering is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to work quickly under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Passion for culinary arts with a focus on pizza making or fine dining experience preferred
