Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items with precision, following standardized recipes and presentation guidelines
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, slicers, and food processors
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
- Assist with meal assembly, portioning, and plating to ensure consistency and quality
- Support menu planning by suggesting improvements or new dishes based on culinary trends and guest preferences
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate food production and timing
- Follow safety protocols during food handling, knife skills, slicing techniques, and overall kitchen operations
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a food service environment, restaurant, or culinary setting is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of food safety management practices and safety standards in production
- Demonstrated ability in food preparation, cooking techniques, and operating kitchen equipment
- Familiarity with dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and team members
- Knowledge of menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation processes
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
