We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Healthcare Data Analyst with experience in healthcare analytics, reporting, and data management. The ideal candidate will support the analysis of healthcare data to generate actionable insights that inform clinical, operational, and business decision-making. This role requires strong analytical skills, healthcare domain knowledge, and proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, validate, and analyze healthcare data from multiple sources, including Electronic Health Records (EHRs), claims data, patient registries, and operational databases.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to support healthcare operations and performance monitoring.
- Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities to improve patient outcomes, operational efficiency, and reporting effectiveness.
- Perform data quality checks to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
- Collaborate with clinical, operational, and business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and provide data-driven insights.
- Conduct ad hoc analyses and generate reports to support quality improvement initiatives, operational reporting, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Monitor healthcare metrics such as patient outcomes, utilization rates, readmissions, length of stay, and revenue cycle performance.
- Create and maintain documentation for data definitions, reporting methodologies, and business rules.
- Assist with data governance and data quality initiatives while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and organizational data privacy standards.
- Present analytical findings and reporting insights to stakeholders and support leadership reporting needs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Health Informatics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, Healthcare Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or in a similar analytics role within the healthcare industry.
- Strong working knowledge of SQL for data extraction, querying, manipulation, and analysis.
- Experience with data visualization and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, advanced formulas, data analysis, and reporting.
- Understanding of healthcare data standards, terminology, and workflows, including EHR/EMR systems and claims data.
- Experience working with healthcare datasets and relational databases.
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance requirements and healthcare data privacy regulations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to translate business requirements into meaningful reports, dashboards, and actionable insights.
Pay: $76,963.84 - $95,687.64 per year
