Position Overview
Atto Sushi is seeking a friendly, organized, and knowledgeable Cashier / Guest Service Associate to join our team. This position serves as the first point of contact for our guests and plays a critical role in delivering exceptional customer service. The primary responsibilities include answering phone calls, assisting guests with menu questions, processing orders, and accurately packing takeout and delivery orders.
Responsibilities
- Answer incoming phone calls professionally and assist guests with inquiries.
- Take phone orders accurately and efficiently.
- Provide menu recommendations and explain Japanese dishes, ingredients, and preparation methods.
- Process customer payments and operate the POS system.
- Carefully pack takeout and delivery orders to ensure accuracy and presentation quality.
- Verify order contents before handoff to customers or delivery drivers.
- Assist guests with reservations, waitlist information, and general restaurant questions.
- Maintain a clean and organized front-of-house and cashier station.
- Coordinate with sushi chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth order fulfillment.
- Deliver excellent hospitality and uphold Atto Sushi's service standards.
Qualifications
- Previous cashier, restaurant, or customer service experience required.
- Strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine and sushi terminology required.
- Experience working in a Japanese restaurant preferred.
- Excellent communication and telephone etiquette.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional.
- Fluent English required; additional languages are a plus.
Pay: From $22.00 per hour
