American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position in Richmond, VA, requiring a minimum of 2 years of interventional cardiac cath lab experience and an active VA or compact RN license.

Located in the Cardiac Cath Lab on the 3rd floor of the Levinson Building at an HCA facility in Richmond, VA
-
Unit consists of 3 cath labs staffed by a mix of RNs and cardiovascular technologists, with approximately 10-11 staff per day

Patient ratio is 3 staff per room
-
Procedures performed include diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations, complex PCIs, Impella, balloon pump, peripheral cases, and occasional device cases

Equipment used includes GE X-ray and MacLab

EMR system is Meditech
-
Shift hours are 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM (day shift only; no night shift)

On-call required on some weekdays and weekends

No floating required

Active VA or compact RN license required

Minimum 2 years of experience in an interventional cardiac cath lab is required

Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment)

US SSN and DOB required for consideration — Canadian SSNs are not accepted

One professional reference required (two required for candidates licensed in Florida or Missouri)

No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Experience in a high-volume lab handling complex cases is preferred

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible

Light blue scrubs are required; scrubs are provided by the hospital

Must be able to report to the hospital within 30 minutes when on call

Professionalism and strong attendance are emphasized on this unit
