We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly, verify their appointment details, and assist with check-in procedures using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems (eClinicalWorks).
- Schedule patient appointments accurately utilizing medical scheduling software and coordinate with clinical staff to optimize daily clinic flow.
- Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks and assist with prior authorizations.
- Manage patient records by filing, updating electronic health records (EHR), and maintaining organized medical records in accordance with health information management protocols.
- Answer multi-line phone systems professionally, providing excellent phone etiquette while addressing patient inquiries or routing calls appropriately.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to facilitate care plans and document review processes for accuracy and completeness in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Skills
- Fluency in English and Mandarin is required
- Ability to speak Cantonese or Fujianese is a plus
- Availability to work weekends is preferred
- Knowledge of EMR/EHR systems is preferred
- Familiarity with medical terminology, and health insurance procedures is a plus
- Excellent computer skills for documentation and reporting tasks is a plus.
- Exceptional customer service skills combined with effective phone communication and multi-line phone system operation.
- Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially following HIPAA guidelines; experience with clinical confidentiality policies is essential.
Pay: $18.00 - $28.00 per hour
