Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring JW Electrician in Avondale, AZ. The Journeyman Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings in Avondale, AZ. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical codes and safety procedures, the ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams, and experience working independently or as part of a team on contract assignments.

Pay: $32 to $38 Per Hour BOE
Licenses/Certifications Required:
- Journeyman Electrician License
Responsibilities:
- Install, bend, and remove conduit to accommodate wiring needs.
- Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Pull electrical wiring through conduit and connect it to circuit breakers, transformers, and outlets.
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems including conduit, lighting fixtures, electrical panels, transformers, switches, and motors.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building standards.
- Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits using various testing devices to ensure safety and functionality.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform corrective actions to minimize project downtime.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition according to site standards.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in commercial electrical installations, supported by an apprenticeship or equivalent background.
- Possession of necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) and hand tools required for the trade.
- Strong knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) standards and safety protocols.
- Dependable and punctual, with the ability to work effectively on contract-based projects.
- Reliable transportation to reach various job sites in the Avondale area.
Physical Requirements:
- Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Must be able to climb stairs, ladders, and poles safely.
- Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits.
- Must be able to work in inclement weather conditions, including extreme desert temperatures.
- Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring accurately.
- Must be aware of and compliant with OSHA safety standards at all times.
- Must be able to sit, stand, kneel, stoop, walk, and sit for long periods of time.
- Must be physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 80 lbs.
Pay Transparency:
The anticipated pay range for this position is $32 to $38 per hour, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
