We are currently seeking a Yard Clerk to join our client's team in Santa Paula, CA. team. You will be responsible for managing construction equipment logistics through loading/unloading, safe machinery operation, outdoor work, document handling, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Efficiently load and unload construction equipment onto trailers or railcars, ensuring smooth operations in our yard.
- Operate lift trucks and other material handling equipment with precision and safety.
- Skillfully maneuver various construction machinery for transport purposes, including driving and adjusting machinery attachments.
- Work confidently outdoors under various weather conditions.
- Interpret and manage shipping/receiving documentation, such as bills of lading and manifests, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Hold a valid driver's license to facilitate equipment storage and distribution.
- Accurately weigh preloaded loads for drivers, ensuring compliance with transport regulations.
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma is preferred.
- Ability to maintain high energy levels throughout the day, whether walking, standing, or engaging in various physical tasks.
- Flexibility to work in different postures, from standing to reclining, and at heights on scaffolding or ladders.
- Strong hand and arm strength for tasks ranging from unpackaging to using heavy tools.
- Ability to maneuver heavy equipment and materials manually.
- Dexterity to handle tools and machinery parts effectively.
- A commitment to safety, demonstrated by passing a post-offer drug screen and background check.

- 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
