American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for an Emergency Department position at a Level III trauma center in Farmington, NM, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ED experience and certifications including TNCC.

Emergency Department in a 198-bed Level III trauma center serving the Four Corners region of New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah
-
The ED has 48 beds with flex space, accommodating a diverse patient population including ESRD, cirrhosis, COPD, and psychiatric patients
-
Patient ratios are 4:1 in the main ED and 6:1 in Fast Track
-
Common diagnoses and treatments include ESRD, substance abuse disorders, psychological disorders, COPD, CHF, abdominal pain, and chest pain
-
Required procedures and skills include trauma, stroke, STEMI, sepsis management, and moderate sedation
-
Equipment used includes Zoll Defibrillator, Level One Blood Transfuser, QinFlow Blood Warmer, Hospira Plum360, Freestyle and iStat POC, and ultrasound-guided IV

EMR is Cerner

Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Minimum of two weekends per schedule required

No on-call or float requirements

13-week contract with 36 hours per week

Active NM or Compact RN license required

Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required

Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC — all must be from the American Heart Association (AHA)

Experience with trauma, stroke, STEMI, sepsis, and moderate sedation required

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher required

The facility is a Level III trauma center; due to its regional location, Level I, II, and III trauma cases are flown in

The ED operates on a team nursing and pod system model

A social worker and a unit educator are assigned to the department
