Overview
We are seeking a hardworking, and dependable individual to join our small team. In this role, you will handle a variety of daily warehouse duties, including receiving goods, picking and packing orders, and managing heavy inventory. This position requires consistent heavy lifting, strong communication skills, and the ability to confidently navigate basic computer programs and digital inventory software.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate outbound shipments and incoming pickups directly with trucking companies and freight carriers.
- Unload heavy incoming freight shipments and inspect goods for damage.
- Pick, pack, and stage customer orders accurately using picking lists.
- Use a computer or digital inventory tracking system to log incoming and outgoing stock.
- Prepare, print, and process shipping labels, bills of lading (BOLs), and manifests electronically.
- Communicate clearly with truck drivers, team leads, and inventory clerks regarding logistics and order discrepancies.
- Move heavy inventory safely using manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and forklifts (if certified).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse workspace.
- Adhere to all workplace safety guidelines and proper lifting techniques
Qualifications
- Logistics & Communication: Good communication and organizational skills; ability to interact professionally with truck drivers and freight dispatchers
- Computer Literacy: Basic computer skills required; ability to learn digital inventory systems, log data, and use computers or tablet devices
- Forklift Experience: Ability to operate a forklift is preferred, but not required (Forklift certification is a plus)
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry items weighing up to [50-75] lbs repeatedly throughout an 8-hour shift.
- Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods on a concrete warehouse floor.
- Work Experience: 1 year of warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or general labor experience (Preferred).
- Reliability: Reliable transportation to ensure consistent and punctual attendance.
