Job Summary
Start your laboratory career with a stable, Monday-Friday schedule and pay up to $20/hour in Salt Lake City. This Laboratory Technician I role is a great entry point into bioanalytical science — you'll get hands-on training with real lab equipment and procedures while supporting a team of experienced scientists from day one.
What You'll Do
- Prepare samples, reagents, and solutions following established standard operating procedures
- Perform pipette calibrations and basic laboratory testing with proper documentation
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment appropriate to your assigned tasks
- Wash, disinfect, and organize laboratory glassware, equipment, and work surfaces
- Assist with sample storage, inventory management, and ordering of consumables
- Support laboratory safety and compliance requirements, including proper PPE use
- Coordinate your daily workload with team members and flag scheduling conflicts early
What You Bring
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent (significant hands-on work experience considered in place of education)
- Comfortable with basic algebra and chemistry math
- Ability to follow written protocols accurately and consistently
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
Preferred
- Prior experience with common laboratory equipment (pipettes, balances, centrifuges, etc.)
- Background in a bioanalytical contract research organization (CRO) setting
Schedule & Shift
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required based on project needs.
Pay & Compensation
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour, depending on experience
