Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of dental procedures including dental examinations, cleanings, fillings, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, and endodontics with precision and care
- Conduct thorough patient assessments by reviewing medical and dental histories, taking diagnostic images using medical imaging equipment, and applying appropriate treatment plans
- Utilize dental terminology accurately to explain procedures, diagnoses, and post-treatment care to patients
- Maintain strict infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety and comply with HIPAA regulations for medical documentation and medical records management
- Collaborate with the dental team to deliver four-handed dentistry for efficient patient care and comfort
- Manage dental fabrication processes such as crowns or bridges when applicable
- Document all patient interactions thoroughly in electronic health records systems like Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix
Experience
- Proven experience working in a fast-paced dental clinic or dental office environment with a strong focus on general dentistry and patient care
- Demonstrated proficiency in pediatric dentistry and oral surgery procedures including dental extractions and root canal therapy
- Familiarity with dental imaging techniques and anatomy knowledge essential for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
- Experience utilizing electronic health record systems such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix preferred
- Knowledge of infection control standards, HIPAA compliance, and medical documentation best practices
- Ability to communicate effectively using clear medical terminology while maintaining compassionate patient interactions
