POSITION: Middle School ELA Long-Term Substitute
REPORTS TO: Building Principal
QUALIFICATIONS:

The individual in this position must be approved to sub through EduStaff.

Valid State of Michigan teaching certificate for English
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-
Successful preparation for and attainment of high student achievement through effective instructional practices
-
Demonstrated ability to work and communicate with students of all ability levels to meet their academic, behavioral, and emotional needs; proven ability to communicate with parents and other educators

Strong interpersonal skills with secondary students
-
Ability to foster a classroom culture that is engaging, student-focused, and effectively managed.

Familiarity with Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS)

Excellent verbal and written skills

Demonstrated ability to work with professional learning communities
SALARY: $150-200/day, depending on qualifications (third-party contracted through EduStaff)
STARTING DATE: August 2026, per 2026-2027 school calendar
