POSITION SUMMARY
The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly environment for residents by performing cleaning tasks and assisting in maintaining a safe environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Include but are not limited to the following:

Clean rooms by dusting, vacuuming, and mopping.

Sanitize toilets, showers, and sinks.
-
Clean and organize common shared spaces such as lounges and dining areas.
-
Laundry services such as washing, drying, and folding residents’ clothes and linens.
-
Remove trash and recycling from rooms and common areas.
-
Ensure adequate supplies of toiletries, paper products, and other essentials are properly stocked.

Help to maintain a safe environment by reporting any potential hazards, and cleaning up any spills that may put a resident or employee at risk.

Supervisory Responsibility: None.
QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience:
-
Must possess a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.

Previous housekeeping experience in a similar or hospitality environment preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
-
Familiarity with various cleaning agents and tools, and their appropriate use.
-
Familiarity with SDS (Safety Data Sheet).
-
Understanding of health standards and protocols to maintain a sanitary environment.
-
Knowledge of safety guidelines and procedures, especially regarding the handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.

Ability to notice and address small issues before they escalate, ensuring rooms and facilities are thoroughly cleaned.

Skills to efficiently manage cleaning schedules while being flexible to respond to immediate needs.

Ability to adapt to different tasks and needs of residents.
-
Capable of interacting positively with residents, understanding, and respecting their needs for privacy and comfort.

Ability to identify and resolve issues related to cleanliness or maintenance without extensive supervision.

Ability to understand the policies and procedures of the Community including emergency plans.
