Blue Sea Speech Therapy is growing, and we are looking for a Speech-Language Pathologist with an interest in or experience with orofacial myofunctional therapy to join our private practice!
We are a clinician-owned, private speech therapy practice dedicated to providing individualized, evidence-based care in a warm, supportive environment. We are looking for someone who is passionate about helping clients improve their communication and oral-motor function and who wants the flexibility and autonomy of working in a private practice setting.
About the Position
The ideal candidate will have experience with or a strong interest in orofacial myofunctional disorders (OMDs) and working with clients who may present with:
- Orofacial myofunctional disorders
- Tongue thrust or atypical swallowing patterns
- Oral resting posture concerns
- Mouth breathing
- Reduced lingual range of motion or coordination
- Speech sound disorders associated with orofacial patterns
- /r/, /s/, /z/, /sh/, /ch/, /th/, and other articulation difficulties
- Feeding or oral-motor concerns, as appropriate to the clinician's training and scope of practice
You will have the opportunity to build and grow a myofunctional caseload while also providing traditional speech and language services based on your clinical interests and expertise.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and/or myofunctional evaluations
- Develop individualized treatment plans and goals
- Provide evidence-based individual therapy
- Provide orofacial myofunctional therapy within your training and scope of practice
- Complete timely and thorough documentation
- Communicate with parents/caregivers regarding progress and home strategies
- Collaborate with dentists, orthodontists, ENTs, physicians, and other professionals as appropriate
- Participate in team collaboration and case discussions
- Maintain a positive, professional, and family-centered therapy environment
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Massachusetts SLP license
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligible
- Experience with orofacial myofunctional disorders preferred
- Myofunctional therapy training/certification preferred, but not required
- Strong communication and clinical skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a supportive team
- Passion for providing individualized, high-quality care

Schedule
We are flexible and willing to work with the right clinician to create a schedule that fits their availability.
Part-time and full-time opportunities are available.
Weekday availability is preferred.
Compensation
Competitive hourly compensation based on experience and clinical expertise.
