We are seeking a dynamic maintenance technician to join the team at a 142 unit multi-family affordable housing community located near the Berkeley neighborhood of Denver. Our teams strive to provide residents with first-class service which will in-turn achieves a high level of customer service and resident retention.
Essential Functions:
- Respond to resident requests for maintenance and service by taking appropriate and timely action to repair and restore service within quality and time standards established by the industry and our organization.
- Maintain the overall appearance and cleanliness of the community while ensuring the grounds, building exteriors, market ready units, breezeways, parking lots and central garbage areas are free of debris, trash and that all potential deficiencies and safety issues are reported immediately to your supervisor.
- Ensure that apartments are ready for occupancy as directed by the Supervisor and according to industry standards. Ability to troubleshoot any current or potential problems with electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, appliance repair. Responsible to ensure that the carpet cleaning/replacement, painting, and overall apartment cleaning is complete prior to occupancy according to the company and industry standard.
- Maintain tools, equipment and workspace and ensure they are organized and in proper working order. Request replacement items and assist with inventory and upkeep of the maintenance shop. Having own small hand tools is helpful in your position.
Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
- Previous maintenance experience in the multi-family industry.
- Proficient in the use of technology, especially computer and cell phone. Knowledge in property management/maintenance module a plus.
Must pass pre-employment background and drug screen and possess a valid DL or ID; Rotating on-call responsibility is a requirement of the position.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
