Fall Youth Soccer League Coach | Pasadena & Glendale | 3–4 Openings
SoCal Youth Sports is recruiting three to four energetic and dependable coaches for our Fall youth soccer league programs in Pasadena and Glendale.
Our leagues provide professionally coached, child-centred soccer without relying on parent volunteers. Players learn through small-sided games, frequent involvement and age-appropriate challenges.
We are looking for coaches who can commit to the full Fall season and become positive, consistent leaders for their players and families.
Opportunities are available in
- Pasadena
- Glendale
- Selected weekday afternoon or evening practices
- Saturday and Sunday morning league games
Candidates may work in one location or across both areas depending on availability.
Responsibilities
- Lead or assist weekly team practices
- Coach weekend league games
- Create an energetic, welcoming environment
- Keep children actively involved through small-sided games
- Communicate professionally with parents and program leaders
- Follow SoCal Youth Sports safeguarding and operational procedures
- Attend paid training before the season
We are looking for candidates who are
- Enthusiastic and excellent with children
- Reliable throughout the full season
- Confident leading groups
- Positive, professional and coachable
- Available for weekday practices and weekend games
- Able to travel reliably to Pasadena or Glendale
- Interested in developing as a youth coach
Formal coaching qualifications are helpful but are not the deciding factor. We are particularly interested in early-career coaches, college students, recent graduates, teachers, recreation leaders and people with experience in soccer, kinesiology, physical education or working with children.
Our coaching approach
Our sessions are based around games, decision-making and player involvement.
We avoid:
- Long lines
- Laps without the ball
- Lengthy lectures
- Coaches controlling every decision
We prioritise:
- Small-sided games
- Creativity and confidence
- Frequent touches and decisions
- Positive relationships with children
- Development through play
Additional work may be available through camps, clinics, tournaments, private programs and future league seasons.

Pay: $22.50 - $40.00 per hour
