Position Summary
TriHealth Family Wellness Center is seeking an experienced OB/GYN Medical Assistant to join our clinical team. The ideal candidate must have prior hands-on Medical Assistant experience, preferably in OB/GYN or women's health, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced medical office.
This is not an entry-level position. Experienced applicants only.
Primary Responsibilities
- Room patients and obtain/document vital signs.
- Review and update medical history, medications, allergies, and reason for visit.
- Prepare patients and examination rooms for OB/GYN visits and procedures.
- Assist providers with examinations and in-office procedures.
- Assist with prenatal, postpartum, annual, and gynecologic visits.
- Prepare for Pap smears and properly handle specimens.
- Perform pregnancy testing and other authorized point-of-care testing.
- Collect, label, and prepare specimens for laboratory processing.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Athena EMR.
- Review schedules and prepare patient charts before appointments.
- Process clinical messages, orders, referrals, and prescription/refill requests as directed.
- Communicate provider-approved instructions to patients.
- Coordinate laboratory testing, diagnostic testing, referrals, and follow-up care.
- Clean, prepare, and restock examination rooms between patients.
- Maintain clinical supplies and equipment.
- Follow HIPAA, OSHA, infection-control, and TriHealth Family Wellness Center policies.
- Maintain professional, compassionate communication with patients and coworkers.
- Perform additional clinical duties as assigned.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Previous hands-on Medical Assistant experience required.
- Experienced applicants only — no entry-level applicants.
- OB/GYN or women's health experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with Athena EMR preferred.
- Must be comfortable assisting with OB/GYN examinations and procedures.
- Must be able to work independently and efficiently in a busy clinical environment.
- Strong clinical, organizational, communication, and patient-service skills required.
- Medical Assistant certification preferred.
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or required based on practice policy.

We are looking for an experienced Medical Assistant who is dependable, professional, compassionate, detail-oriented, and able to anticipate the needs of providers and patients. Candidates should be comfortable managing multiple responsibilities while maintaining excellent patient care and accurate documentation.

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
