This full-time contract opportunity is perfect for a dedicated School Psychologist eager to make an impact for students and staff. Serving a school system near Hamlet, NC, this role offers a consistent 37.5-hour workweek from August 17, 2026, through June 3, 2027. Your expertise will ensure that students have the support they need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Qualifications:
- Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist in North Carolina (or eligibility to obtain)
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology
- Experience working within a school setting is highly preferred
- Strong assessment, collaboration, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Familiarity with special education laws, regulations, and best practices
- Commitment to providing in-person services (this position is not open to virtual work)
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological and academic assessments
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to design and implement student support plans
- Participate in eligibility and IEP meetings, offering insight into student needs and progress
- Deliver direct counseling and intervention services to students, as appropriate
- Provide crisis intervention and ongoing behavioral support
- Maintain detailed records and documentation in compliance with school and legal requirements
