Duties
- Prepare and assemble food items efficiently while adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate order processing and cash handling
- Provide friendly customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and upselling menu items to enhance sales
- Maintain cleanliness by bussing tables, cleaning workstations, and ensuring proper sanitation throughout the shift
- Manage cash transactions accurately, including handling cash, credit cards, and performing basic math calculations
- Assist with food handling procedures, including stocking supplies and ensuring proper food storage practices
- Support team members in food preparation, serving, and overall restaurant operations to ensure smooth service flow
Requirements
- Prior experience in food preparation, food service, or working in quick service & fast-food restaurants is preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to upsell and engage positively with guests
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while multitasking efficiently
- Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations
- Previous experience working in a café, grocery store, or retail environment is a plus
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
