American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med Surg Telemetry position on a Stroke/Uro unit requiring a TX or compact RN license and night shift availability.

Work on a 30-bed Stroke and Urology surgical nursing unit within a hospital setting
-
Night shift schedule from 18:45 to 07:15
-
13-week assignment length
-
Uses Epic charting system
-
Active RN license (TX or compact) currently in hand

Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) through AHA
-
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred

Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start

Must provide current license and primary source verification within 30 days prior to start

Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols

Implement and monitor patient care plans while communicating patient condition to the care team

Serve as primary coordinator across disciplines for well-coordinated patient care
-
Carry out physician and nursing orders and assess discharge planning needs

Requires strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment

Navy or maroon scrubs required
