The Motor Unit Client Support Specialist is a fast-paced position that requires dealing with large numbers of customers every day. Candidates should be able to work together as a team member, work independently, and make informed decisions. Attention to detail is critical as work involves review, verification, coding, and processing of applications for all types of motor vehicle registrations, driver licenses, and identification cards. The ability to process large sums of money and excellent customer service skills are required for this position. The position is full time, Monday through Thursday 6:45am-5:15pm with some overtime required.
This position is part of the Mobile Unit team that is based out of the Montpelier DMV office and will travel to a satellite branch office daily. This team staffs four locations through out the state.
A current, valid driver's license is required.
An applicant's vision must be correctable to 20/40 (Snellen test) in both eyes, with normal color perception and field of vision.
In accordance with Title 23, Section 102(d), an applicant must agree to be finger-printed and pass a background investigation to be eligible for this position. The background investigation may include criminal, financial and traffic records checks. Hiring managers will notify applicants who are in the final stage of the interview process of the finger-printing and background check requirement, to which an applicant must agree to be deemed eligible for this position. Applicant will have the right to withdraw their applications before finger-printing and/or a background investigation is conducted.
SPECIAL NOTE: The incumbent will serve customers promptly and efficiently while maintaining the minimum production level of 5+ transactions per hour with a 1% or less error rate. The incumbent will be proficient in 5 or more of the job duties.
