At Envision Eye care - Pittsburgh, we believe in delivering compassionate, personalized eyecare to every patient who walks thru our doors. We are seeking a motivated, friendly and dedicated person who is detail-oriented to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing exceptional patient care and supporting the optometric practice's daily operations.
Responsibilities (Training for the following will be provided)
- Assist optometrists during patient examinations by preparing the examination room and ensuring all necessary equipment is ready for use
- Conduct preliminary tests, including various pre-testing procedures
- Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring patient confidentiality at all times
- Assist with contact lens instruction and training, maintain supplies and fulfilling lens orders
- Maintain accurate patient records using Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the examination area and optical display areas to ensure a welcoming environment for patients
- Job Type: Full Time
Schedule:
- 9 hour shift (Monday, Tuesday and Thursday) 8AM-5PM
- 7 Hour shift (Friday) 7:30 - 2:30PM
- 4.5 Hrs. (Saturday) 8AM - 12:30PM
Requirements
- Previous experience in a healthcare or optometric setting is a plus but not necessary. Training will be provided
- Strong communication and multi-tasking skills
- Detail-orientated and eager to learn
- Positive attitude with a focus on patient care and customer service
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated
- Basic knowledge of optometric products and sales techniques are a plus
