Position Summary
The Maintenance position is responsible for ensuring the motel’s buildings, guest rooms, equipment, and grounds remain safe, functional, and well‑maintained. This role supports smooth daily operations by performing repairs, preventive maintenance, and responding promptly to guest and staff requests.
General Maintenance
Perform routine repairs on plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry systems.
Fix leaking faucets, clogged drains, running toilets, and minor pipe issues.
Replace light fixtures, switches, outlets, and bulbs.
Repair doors, locks, windows, and furniture.
Maintain and repair appliances such as mini‑fridges, microwaves, and AC units.
Preventive Maintenance
Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, common areas, and exterior spaces.
Service HVAC filters, water heaters, and laundry equipment on schedule.
Identify potential issues early and report major concerns to management.
Grounds & Exterior Upkeep
Maintain parking lot, walkways, landscaping, and outdoor lighting.
Guest & Staff Support
Respond quickly to maintenance requests from the front desk or housekeeping.
Enter guest rooms respectfully and professionally.
Provide friendly, courteous service when interacting with guests.
Safety & Compliance
Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
Ensure compliance with fire codes, health regulations, and motel policies.
Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and replacement parts.
Qualifications
Experience in general maintenance, building repair, or a related trade.
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.
Ability to troubleshoot problems independently.
Strong communication and customer‑service skills.
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical tasks.
Pay: $13.00 - $17.00 per hour
