Role Overview
The Desktop support Administrator is responsible for managing, securing, and supporting Apple macOS and Windows devices across the organization.
- This role ensures reliable device performance, security compliance, and a high-quality end-user experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and administer macOS and Windows devices using MDM solutions (e.g., Intune, Jamf Pro, Kandji).
- Deploy, configure, patch, and maintain macOS and Windows systems and applications.
- Enforce security policies including FileVault, malware protection, and OS compliance.
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for Mac and Windows related hardware and software issues.
- Automate device management workflows using scripts and profiles.
- Maintain device inventory, licensing, and asset lifecycle management.
- Collaborate with IT security and service desk teams.
- Document standards, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Provide hands-on desktop, laptop, and peripheral support for Windows and macOS
- Troubleshoot hardware failures, OS issues, application errors, and user accounts
- Perform workstation imaging, setup, and deployment for new hires and replacements
- Support printers, scanners, AV equipment, and other office peripherals"
3+ years of experience administering macOS and Windows in an enterprise environment.
- Strong knowledge of macOS architecture, security, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Apple Business Manager and MDM platforms.
- Proficiency in shell scripting (Bash or Zsh).
- Understanding networking fundamentals and identity management.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Jamf or Apple certifications (Jamf 200/300/400, Apple Certified IT Professional).
- Experience integrating macOS with Azure Entra, SailPoint, or other IdPs.
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks (SOC 2, NIST, PCIDSS, ISO 27001).
- Experience supporting mixed OS environments.

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
