Responsibilities:
- Plan and conduct basketball coaching sessions for players of various skill levels
- Teach fundamental basketball skills, including shooting, dribbling, passing, and defense
- Develop and implement practice plans and game strategies
- Provide guidance and support to players during games and practices
- Foster a positive and inclusive team environment
- Monitor player progress and provide feedback for improvement
- Ensure the safety of players during practices and games
- Manage team logistics, including scheduling games and coordinating transportation
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a basketball coach or player is preferred (HS Level)
- Knowledge of basketball rules, techniques, and strategies
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work well with children and young adults
- Experience in behavior management and conflict resolution
- CPR and lifeguard certification is a plus
- Background in physical education or sports coaching is beneficial
