Trinity Management, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Recertification Specialist to support the compliance and occupancy functions of one of our affordable housing communities. This role plays a critical part in ensuring compliance with affordable housing regulations while delivering exceptional service to residents and applicants.
The ideal candidate has experience managing recertifications, income verifications, and resident files within affordable housing programs such as LIHTC, Section 8, HUD, and other subsidized housing programs. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Manage annual and interim recertifications from start to finish, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Process income, asset, employment, and third-party verifications in accordance with program requirements
Maintain compliance with LIHTC, HUD, Section 8, and other affordable housing regulations
Communicate effectively with residents regarding required documentation, deadlines, and compliance requirements
Maintain organized resident and applicant files to ensure audit and inspection readiness
Monitor upcoming recertifications, lease renewals, vacancies, and compliance deadlines
Assist with applicant processing, waitlist management, and occupancy tracking
Support resident relations by responding to questions and providing excellent customer service
Assist with rent collection activities, notices, and general administrative responsibilities as needed
Partner closely with Property Management and site staff to ensure efficient community operations
Prepare for and support agency audits, file reviews, and compliance inspections
Affordable housing experience required
Previous recertification experience required
Strong knowledge of LIHTC, HUD, Section 8, and other affordable housing programs preferred
COS, HCCP, or other affordable housing certifications are a plus
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent communication and customer service abilities
Experience with Yardi, OneSite, or similar property management software preferred
Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and compliance requirements
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
Full-time, 40 hours per week
