Mount Sinai South Nassau provides a salary range in good faith determination of potential compensation to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.

Position Summary
Summary:
The Medical Assistant performs patient care under the Physician’s/Nurse’s direct supervision. The Medical Assistant is responsible for providing clinical and administrative support. Duties include but are not limited to: obtaining and recording laboratory test results, collaborating with members of the health care team to implement plans for patient care, preparing the patient for the Physician(s) and organizing and documenting in the patient’s medical record.

Responsibilities:
Education Required
- Must complete in-house orientation program
- High school diploma or GED.
- Graduate from an accredited medical assistant program.
Experience And Skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Speaks, reads and writes English
- Bilingual in Spanish, preferred
License/Certifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) within 1 year of hire, preferred.
