Edko, LLC is seeking candidates with leadership qualities, experience in vegetation management, and who are eager to work outside and learn new skills. You will receive on the job training. You are expected to perform herbicide applications along utility right-of-ways and road sides. Multiple positions are available. Operators who plan, direct, and coordinate application efforts, and interface with other personnel and customers. Spray Hands who assist the Operators in their spray work. There are many opportunities for advancement at Edko including flying spray drones, running heavy equipment, planning and inspecting work, spray crew or advancing into leadership. The work area is vast, so candidates can expect to travel a majority of the year on 2 to 3 week stints.
Requirements:
- Pre-employment drug screen and background check required
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work outside and in inclement weather
- Ability to interpret and follow maps
- Ability to use a laptop and handheld computers when needed.
- Valid Driver License with a clean driving record is required
- The ability to work independently for long hours and out of town with extended overnight travel
- Vegetation management experience, tree knowledge and ID skills a Plus *but not required*
