The Production Supervisor will oversee daily production schedules and ensure that inventory levels are managed properly and carried out efficient and profitable manner.
Responsible for following up with all suppliers.
Core Duties and Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis & Modeling:
- Collect and evaluate historical sales data, seasonal patterns, and market trends.
- Build quantitative forecasting models using ERP or supply chain tools.
- Adjust baseline statistical outputs for promotions, product launches, and economic shifts.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Lead consensus review meetings with sales, marketing, and finance teams to validate assumptions.
- Partner with procurement and production managers to match forecasts with material availability and plant capacity.
- Communicate supply constraints or risk trends clearly to leadership.
- Inventory and Production Alignment:
- Feed accurate demand projections into Master Production Scheduling (MPS) and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems.
-Balance stock targets to prevent costly overproduction or component shortages.
- Assist with planning inventory transitions for new product introductions (NPI) and phase-outs.
Forecasting Analysis:
- Measure forecast error and track forecast accuracy across specific product lines or SKUs.
-Perform root-cause analysis on major deviations between predicted demand and actual results.
- Refine forecasting processes and master data quality for continuous improvement.
Supervisory Responsibility:
- Oversees the day-to-day workflow of production staff.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Daily control of production, special project activities and allocation of workload. Shipping/receiving, assembly, quality check, special project management, Supply chain, and Purchase order.
- Oversee the production process to ensure delivery of high-quality products that meet customers’ needs.
- Ensure appropriate production rate to reduce delivery delays.
- Collaborates with the customer service and sales departments to identify and resolve quality concerns.
- Identifies any bottlenecks or delays in production; ensures necessary labor, materials, and other resources are available to relieve production bottlenecks and delays.
-Use production planning and scheduling to limit materials shortages.
-Verify orders to ensure Technical Data Sheet accuracy.
-Conduct periodic audits and inventory counts.
- Identify SWOT in processes and policies and collaborate with management staff to make changes
-Ensure that production employee training needs and requirements are fulfilled and are up-to-date.
-Define the production strategy to meet the short and long terms goals of the division
-Define and apply the quality procedures according to the quality strategy
-Coordinate and manage supply chain for standard instrumentation and specific projects
-Define and manage production infrastructure
-Coordinate with Global Supply Chain Manager and General Manager to Create Purchase Orders following Company Processes and Policies to Vendors, send, and follow up with delivery dates,
updating all information in ODOO as it changes.
- Managing OTD (On Time Delivery) of in-bound products.
- Run a safe, injury/accident-free workplace, ensuring all processes remain compliant with OSHA and
other governmental regulations
-Document quality issues and improvement into our quality system
-Will Coordinate with the General Manager for on-time delivery of inbound
- Product freight as well as outbound products.
- This person will report directly to the General Manager
- Will work with Quality Dept. to ensure that all related Processes and procedures are in place for a successful
working environment and to maintain a high standard of Quality.
-Provide a weekly Production schedule for Management review.
-Assist General Manager to maintain a positive work environment.
-Assist General Manager in other aspects of the business, IE.
-Oversee Building maintenance.
- Source and maintain vendors and suppliers for components, Polys, and other necessary parts to supply to Repair Dept. and for the production of tools.
Required Skills/Abilities:

- Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field required, with 5 or more
years of experience within field
- Must maintain excellent organizational skills
- Knowledge of general business software and aptitude to learn new applications.
- Excellent level of proficiency within MS Office Suite
- General understanding of cross-cultural and global issues
- Ensures efficient warehouse operations through collaboration and coordination with other departments.
- Complete all required management reports
- Executes maintenance activities when needed
- Researches, identifies, and presents new ideas to improve production operations
- Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state, local, and company safety policies
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- At least 5 years of proven experience within a production supervisor position
- Strong budget development and oversight skills
- Proven leadership and management skills
Preferred Skills/Abilities:
- Forklift Operations experience required
- 3-5 years of related experience required
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 30-50 pounds at a time
