Bilingual Medical Assistant
Spanish (required)
(Podiatry Experience A Plus)
Full-time position to work on in the front or back office for our fast paced specialist clinic.

Maintain accurate patient records

Greet patients upon arrival, sign them in and obtain insurance information and any other necessary data

Verify insurance benefits/obtain authorizations as needed to process patient for services

Check patients out
-
Faxing and Filing Signatures for home health
-
Sending DME orders
-
Filling in prescriptions
-
Answer multi-line phones and either direct the caller to the appropriate party or handle the caller’s needs yourself
-
Sending out consult notes to referring providers
-
Adding consults in system and In patient surgeries
-
Schedule appointments for new and recurring patients based on Physician and PA/NP availability
-
Assist Dr with procedures / Prepare FMLA paper work
-
Stock Rooms /Order back office supplies
-
Provide patients with support and guidance as needed
-
Travel with Dr To remote locations (Carrizo Springs, Beeville, Pearsall, Pleasanton, & Northeast Location)
-
Room patients and enter Chief Complain
-
Perform any other duties assigned
Monday Wednesday Friday 07:30 AM to 04:30 PM. Tuesday 07:30 AM to 05:00 PM Friday 07:30 to 1:00 p.m.
Experience with Athena Health is a plus.

Salary: $12.00 to $14.00 /hour
