We are currently seeking a Temporary Dental Hygienist to join our team for approximately 12 weeks to cover a valued team member’s maternity leave. This is a great opportunity for a hygienist looking for a short-term role in a positive, supportive environment—without sacrificing quality, teamwork, or technology.
Position Overview
As a Temporary Dental Hygienist at Cheney Dental Care, you’ll work alongside a collaborative, upbeat team that values patient-centered care and celebrates wins together. You’ll be supported with modern technology, efficient systems, and a schedule designed to keep your day running smoothly.
Schedule
- Tuesday & Wednesday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Technology You’ll Work With

- Biolase laser
- Cavitron 300s
- Nomad digital x-rays
- Arrestin therapy
- One-click intraoral cameras
- TVs in operatories
- Open Dental software
What You’ll Do
- Provide high-quality preventive and periodontal care
- Educate patients on oral health and treatment recommendations
- Build rapport and trust with patients through excellent communication
- Collaborate with doctors and team members to deliver exceptional patient experiences
- Accurately document clinical findings and treatment notes
- Follow all infection control, safety, and HIPAA guidelines
What We’re Looking For
- Current and valid Washington State Dental Hygienist license
- Positive, self-motivated, and dependable
- Strong communicator who builds relationships with patients and teammates
- Comfortable working with modern dental technology
