We are seeking an experienced, hands-on construction and repair professional to serve as Construction Site Supervisor on our Emergency Response Roster. This is a working field role — not a contractor management or project oversight position. The Construction Site Supervisor is expected to personally perform construction and repair work on and inside homeowner properties, conduct hands-on damage assessments, and execute technical response scopes such as muck and gut, mold sanitation, tarping, and structural repairs directly alongside the teams they lead. This role requires demonstrated ability to perform the physical and technical work — applicants whose experience is limited to managing subcontractors, reviewing bids, or overseeing job sites from a distance are not the right fit. We need someone who can pick up tools, make real-time technical decisions, and teach unskilled volunteers by modeling the work in the field.

Main Responsibilities:
Field Work

Personally perform hands-on response and rebuild work on homeowner properties — including muck and gut, mold sanitation, tarping, and construction repair scopes — while leading staff and volunteers working alongside you.

Provide hands-on technical guidance and troubleshooting in the field — including physically demonstrating techniques and correcting work in real time, not directing from a distance.

Teach unskilled volunteers or local community members how to safely perform emergency response operations by working alongside them and demonstrating techniques directly — not by managing from the sidelines.

Ensure compliance with work scope and quality standards.
Community Assessments and Project Implementation:

Conduct on-site damage and needs assessments directly at homeowner properties to identify response and recovery scope, and develop appropriate strategies in coordination with the program team.
Deployment and Coordination:

Deploy to disaster sites as an active, working member of the response team — present at and participating in worksites. Coordinate construction operations directly from the field in partnership with the program team, not from a remote or administrative position.

Connect with impacted individuals to provide services and collaborate with community groups to identify and address unmet needs.
Administrative and Communication Support:

Maintain records of work completed including tracking material usage, volunteer hours, and work performed.

Maintain regular contact with site leads and administrative personnel regarding humanitarian operations.

Communicate tasks and expectations clearly to team members to ensure compliance with project safety and quality standards.

Manage and approve timecards and expenses as needed.

Document, record, and report any incidents or near misses.
Training and Development:

Conduct training sessions for volunteers and staff to ensure they are well-prepared to support response and rebuild operations, with an emphasis on the importance of PPE, as needed
Scope and Travel:

Deployed between 2-4 weeks as needed
Qualifications:

Minimum of three years of direct, hands-on construction, repair, or emergency response operations experience. Experience limited to contractor management, general contracting oversight, or administrative site supervision will not meet this requirement — candidates must be able to personally perform the technical work.
Experience:

Hands-on experience performing response and rebuild scopes (e.g., muck and gut, mold sanitation, tarping, structural repair) — candidates must be technically proficient in the work itself, not only experienced overseeing others doing it.

Experience leading teams of volunteers in emergency response environments while personally performing the work alongside them.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams in high-pressure environments.

Excellent communication and coordination abilities, with experience working across multiple departments and teams.

Flexibility to deploy to various locations in response to disasters and humanitarian crises.
