Your Responsibilities
As a Direct Care Worker, you will be the cornerstone of our clients' daily well-being. Your core duties will include:
- Personal Care: Respectfully assist clients with daily hygiene routines, including grooming, dressing, bathing, and toileting.
- Daily Living Support: Prepare nutritious meals, perform light housekeeping, and help maintain a safe, clean living environment.
- Companionship: Build trust and rapport through active listening, meaningful conversations, and engaging in recreational activities.
- Health Monitoring: Actively observe and promptly report any changes in a client’s physical condition or emotional state.
- Care Plan Execution: Strictly follow individualized care plans to ensure the highest standard of personalized support.
Who You Are (Qualifications)
- Heart for Service: You possess a strong sense of responsibility, infinite patience, and genuine compassion for others.
- Experience: Prior caregiving experience is preferred, but we gladly welcome entry-level candidates with the right attitude and a willingness to learn!
- Availability: You have the ability to commit to a reliable, full-time schedule.
- Mobility: You possess a valid driver’s license, a reliable working vehicle, and auto insurance.
Onboarding & Compliance Requirements
Due to the nature of this work, all candidates must meet the following strictly regulated health and safety standards prior to starting:
- Tuberculosis Screening: 2-Step TB Test, Chest X-Ray, or QuantiFERON blood test (must be dated within the last 6 months).
- Drug Screening: Negative rapid drug test results (must be dated within the last 21 days).
- Clearances: Cleared state/federal background check and fingerprinting (must be dated within the last 6 months).
- Skills Assessment: Successful completion of a competency test (provided when you pick up your onboarding packet at our office).
- Verification: Ability to provide formal service letters and verifiable professional references.
