The Role
We’re seeking a results-driven Social Group Sales Manager to lead the social market of hospitality sales and grow our events business! This role combines strategic sales leadership with hands-on client engagement, from inquiry through successful event execution. You’ll work closely with our culinary, banquet, and guest services teams to ensure seamless, memorable experiences for all social events.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive event sales to meet and exceed revenue goals.
- Site tours and visits with prospective clients.
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to increase market share.
- Conduct site tours, tastings, and client meetings to showcase venues and services.
- Build strong relationships with clients, event planners, vendors, and community partners.
- Prepare customized proposals, contracts, and event budgets.
- Partner with the banquet, culinary, and operations teams to ensure flawless event execution.
- Represent the resort at bridal shows, networking events, and community functions.
- Mentor and train sales staff on best practices in negotiation, time management, and customer engagement.
Qualifications
- Friendly + outgoing personality is a plus :)
- 3–5 years in wedding, banquet, event, or hospitality sales (resort/hotel experience preferred).
- Proven success in meeting sales targets and closing deals.
- Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Experience with CRM or event management software (Visual One, Delphi, Cendyn, Tripleseat, etc.).
- Flexible schedule, able to work evenings and weekends as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field preferred.
