Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as an Aircraft and Powerplant Mechanic, where you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing aircraft and their associated powerplant systems. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced aerospace technology, ensuring the safety, reliability, and optimal performance of aircraft. You will be responsible for diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, performing scheduled maintenance, and troubleshooting complex systems using a variety of tools and technical drawings. Your expertise will contribute directly to the safety and efficiency of aviation operations in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive inspections, repairs, and maintenance on aircraft airframes, powerplants, and related mechanical systems in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) and industry standards.
- Utilize technical schematics, CAD drawings, and engineering troubleshooting procedures to diagnose issues accurately.
- Perform root cause analysis on mechanical or electrical failures to identify underlying problems and implement effective solutions.
- Use specialized industrial tools such as torque wrenches, calipers, micrometers, soldering equipment, welding apparatus, and precision measuring instruments to execute repairs with high precision.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and sheet metal fabrication blueprints to guide assembly and repair tasks.
- Operate equipment like multimeters (ohmmeters), ammeters, and other diagnostic tools for testing electrical circuits and mechanical components.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities within Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to ensure compliance with aviation standards and facilitate future troubleshooting.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and professional work environment
- Communicate effectively with aircraft owners, pilots, and company management regarding maintenance status and recommendations
Requirements
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant Certificate
- Strong working knowledge of FAA regulations and maintenance procedures
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Valid driver's license
- Pre employment drug and alcohol screening
- No drug or alcohol related convictions on driving record within the past 5 years (DUI/DWI).
Preferred Qualifications
- FAA Inspection Authority (IA)
- Experience with General Aviation aircraft
- Experience with Light Sport Aircraft
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience within a maintenance environment
- Cirrus, Robinson, or avionics experience is a plus
Compensations and Benefits
- Competitive pay: $27.50 - $35.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
