Prep Cook/ Baker
Full time is defined as 40hrs/week, or 5 x 8hr shifts.
Part time roles are 24hrs/week, or 3 x 8hr shifts.
Opening shifts are 7am - 3pm. Closing shifts are 9am - 5pm.
The wage range for all positions is $18-22/hr depending on experience and availability.
Kitchen staff are part of a small team operating a busy farm store and kitchen, and as such the responsibilities are very active and physically demanding in nature.Though most of the working hours are spent within the kitchen, various other duties regularly require working in different conditions, such as the walk-in cooler and outdoors. Routine Duties & Responsibilities:
- Follow daily production schedule and preparation requirements.
- Prepares items on production sheets following established quantities and recipes.
- Uses approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, standard portion control.
- Stores, labels and dates all food items according to policy.
- Follow food safety guidelines set by management.
- Operates and cleans equipment and work stations after each use.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Our ideal candidate is:
Punctual: on time is a must, the farm store opens at 10am, the morning crew is responsible for baking, packaging, labeling and delivering food items for sale to the adjacent farm store prior to opening.
Positive: has a good attitude, works well independently as well as with others
Expectations: Ability to keep up with physicality of job: standing, bending, reaching, lifting safely and comfortably. Ability to work quickly and efficiently without supervision.
Qualifications: Minimum of one year in production kitchen. Ability to stand and move throughout the entire shift. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen. Strong attention to cleanliness and food safety and quality. Team-oriented with a positive attitude
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
