Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of production teams on the factory floor, ensuring smooth operations from start to finish.
- Lead assembly line processes, utilizing technical proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments to maintain high-quality output.
- Interpret manufacturing documents, technical drawings, and process instructions to ensure accurate assembly and mechanical work.
- Enforce safety protocols rigorously, conduct safety training sessions, and promote a culture of safety adherence across all shifts.
- Manage heavy lifting tasks and manual handling procedures in compliance with safety standards while optimizing workflow efficiency.
- Implement process improvements using lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste, increase productivity, and enhance product quality.
- Oversee inventory management within the warehouse environment, including forklift operation for material handling and stock movement.
Requirements
- Proven factory experience with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and assembly line operations.
- Hands-on mechanical knowledge combined with experience interpreting technical drawings and using measuring instruments.
- Demonstrated ability to manage production or assembly teams effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts, power tools, hand tools, and other manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Familiarity with manufacturing management systems, production documentation interpretation, and process improvement strategies such as lean manufacturing.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks regularly while adhering to safety standards in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interpret technical documentation clearly and lead team training on safety protocols.
- Warehouse experience is preferred to support material logistics and inventory control within the production environment.
