Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and process all transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS.
- Handle cash, credit card, and digital payments with precision, ensuring proper cash handling and basic math calculations.
- Answer incoming phone calls promptly, providing information about menu items, hours, or reservations while maintaining a friendly tone.
- Assist with food preparation tasks when needed, ensuring food safety standards and sanitation protocols are followed diligently.
- Support food service operations by bussing tables, managing food handling responsibilities, and maintaining cleanliness in the café or quick service environment.
- Upsell menu items or products to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities through effective sales techniques.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area adhering to sanitation standards and food safety regulations at all times.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, cashiering, or retail environments is preferred; restaurant experience is highly valued.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally over the phone and face-to-face.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and retail math for sales upselling.
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while multitasking between cashiering and customer support duties.
- Knowledge of food preparation, food safety, sanitation practices, and kitchen experience is a plus.
- Comfortable working in a quick service or fast food restaurant environment with a focus on serving guests efficiently.
