Duties
- Operate cash registers efficiently, accurately handling transactions and providing excellent customer service
- Stock shelves with fresh produce and grocery items, ensuring products are properly displayed and rotated
- Use RF scanners to track inventory levels, update stock records, and assist in inventory control processes
- Load and unload shipments using pallet jacks, ensuring safe handling of heavy goods
- Maintain cleanliness of produce displays, checkout areas, and storage zones through regular cleaning and maintenance tasks
- Assist customers with questions about products, locate items in the store, and offer product recommendations
- Support shipping and receiving activities by organizing incoming deliveries and preparing outgoing orders for shipment
Skills
- Strong organizational skills to manage inventory levels and maintain orderly displays
- Proficiency with inventory management systems and RF scanners for accurate stock tracking
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages (bilingual/multilingual abilities are a plus)
- Knowledge of produce handling, packaging, merchandising, and grocery store operations
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining efficiency during stocking tasks
- Customer service orientation with friendly interpersonal skills to enhance shopper satisfaction
- Retail math skills for accurate cash handling and sales transactions
- Familiarity with warehouse experience, shipping & receiving procedures, and general maintenance tasks
