Customer Service Specialist

Overview
The Customer Service Specialist plays a key role in delivering exceptional service to both internal and external customers. This position requires strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, as well as a thorough understanding of company products and processes. The ideal candidate will be a proactive team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to ensuring a positive customer experience from order entry through delivery.
Responsibilities
- Manage the complete order process from data entry to delivery, including order tracking and allocation.
- Respond to customer inquiries and provide accurate information regarding products and services or direct them to the appropriate department.
- Resolve customer concerns related to order volume, processing, invoicing, credits, technical support, and claims.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records and notes.
- Communicate effectively with team members, salesman, customers, suppliers, freight companies, and shipping lines.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
- Collaborate closely with sales representatives to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Outlook
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to prioritize, problem-solve, and handle multiple tasks under pressure
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and follow-through
- Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently
- Positive attitude and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
