First Congregational Church of Hudson is prayerfully seeking qualified and called individuals who may feel led toward a pastoral ministry opportunity within our congregation. Given our current season, we need someone with prior Senior Pastor experience.
We are a small congregation with an average weekly attendance of approximately 20 people. While our size presents challenges, it also provides opportunities for meaningful relationships, personal discipleship, and hands-on ministry.
Like many churches today, we are in a season of rebuilding. Our regular operating expenses currently exceed our weekly giving, making wise stewardship and thoughtful planning important priorities. We recognize that long-term health will require both spiritual renewal and renewed engagement with our community. Our leadership is committed to working alongside our next pastor as partners in this mission.
Rather than simply maintaining what has been, we are praying for God's direction as we seek to become a healthy, growing church that faithfully serves Christ and our community.
Our congregation expects a Scripture-bound preacher who prioritizes the Word of God as the ultimate authority for faith and practice. He should be a compassionate and energetic individual with the ability to think outside of the box in order to guide, inspire and grow our small congregation. This individual must be a dynamic leader who will help us navigate as we continue to grow our connection with the community, bolster our spiritual foundation, and aid in bringing new life into our congregation. Experience in church growth preferred.
There is a parsonage (3 bed/2 bath), with all utilities paid, available and optional. Although we had to list a pay amount, it will be determined by factors like the use of the parsonage. In other words, $2,100/month is if you are utilizing the parsonage.
